Revenge Pornography At Florida Sheriff Office — Press Release

A petition for injunctive relief in a Revenge Pornography case has been filed against a Collier County Florida Sheriff’s Deputy and a civil complaint against the victim’s ex-boyfriend.

Rebekah Wells is a victim of Revenge Pornography and founded www.WomenAgainstRevengePorn.com after a former boyfriend posted pornographic photographs of her on the internet along with personal identifying information.

Rebekah lodged a formal complaint with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office in Naples, Florida in October 2010 and Deputy Vito Celiberti was assigned to investigate.

In the petition, Wells’ alleges that during the investigation, as an authority figure, Deputy Celiberti, through inappropriate and improper means gained her trust and confidence. Using his position as a Sheriff’s Deputy of Collier County, Celiberti claimed to keep Rebekah safe from her ex-boyfriend.

A romance developed between them during which time Deputy Celiberti took pornographic images of Ms. Wells. When their relationship ended Celiberti threatened to circulate the pornographic images to third parties.

Florida lawyer, Patrick J. McGeehan, who is fast becoming a leading authority on Revenge Porn, has accepted Rebekah Wells’ case.
